There's no doubt that Taylor Swift can do anything — bake amazing cookies, get published in the Wall Street Journal, beat paparazzi at their photo-stalking game — but now she can add a new talent to the list: calm a crying baby with "Blank Space." (h/t Jezebel)
In the video "Taylor Swift fixes all," 6-month-old Rosie is screaming uncontrollably until — suddenly! — the sounds and lyrics of Swift's radio hit is heard: Nice to meet you / where've you been / I can show you incredible things…
Immediately, Rosie stops crying and calms down — no more tears! Just a beatific, chubby-cheeked baby who's probably become the youngest Swiftie to date.
It's no fluke — once the song is turned off, Rosie's face scrunches up again in a rage. But when "Blank Space" plays again, Rosie is soothed and riveted by TSwift's voice.
And now that Taylor has been chosen as Jamie King's godmother, all she needs are her songs to entertain babies. Not only is "Blank Space" the ultimate anti-colic cure-all, but "Shake It Off" can inspire an impromptu dance party or two.
This isn't the first time a baby's been calmed by pop music — remember the crying cutie whose tears were stopped by Katy Perry's "Dark Horse"? Or the other babies dancing to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and Psy's "Gangham Style"
With "Blank Space" added to the list of unexpected songs that magically stop a crying baby, we can't wait to see babies react to the latest hit, "Style"!
