We’re still a couple of months away from the theatrical release of Toy Story 4, but as the anticipation grows, fans of the franchise can get an early taste in the form of a cheesy snack.
Pepperidge Farm has announced the release of limited-edition Toy Story-themed Goldfish, which are the classic cheddar flavor but have crackers shaped like Woody and Buzz Lightyear thrown in the mix. There’s also a blue cracker, presumably a nod to Bo Peep, who also makes an appearance on the packaging.
The new Goldfish will officially be available nationwide starting on May 1, but a representative for the company says that some stores may receive their shipment ahead of time, so keep a sharp eye on those snack aisle shelves in the coming weeks.
In addition to the new Goldfish, Edy’s has also released two new Toy Story-themed ice creams in anticipation of the release.
The first flavor, Cinnamon Churro Carnival Combo, mixes vanilla ice cream with swirls of cinnamon and churro chunks.
The second, Chocolate Peanut Butter Midway Mash, is more traditional, with chunks of peanut butter and chocolate in a chocolate ice cream base.
The fourth installment of the beloved Pixar franchise hits theaters on June 21, nearly a decade after Toy Story 3 was released in 2010 (the original was released in 1995). In addition to the returning favorites like Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz, some new stars will be joining the voiceover cast, including Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Jordan Peele, and Keegan-Michael Key.
